Devatop Centre for Africa Development, through the TALKAM Human Rights Initiative, invites reputable human rights and civil society organizations in West Africa to apply and gain access to the TALKAM Digital Human Rights Case Management Platform.
In 2024, TALKAM Human Rights App was recognized with a global award (Intercultural Innovation Hub Award) by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and Accenture, positioning the platform as a leading global civic-tech solution for combating human rights abuses and advancing digital case management.
This innovative platform is designed to support human rights organizations in Africa and other continents to transition from traditional approaches to digital case management. It provides a unique opportunity to utilize technology in combating human rights abuses while strengthening accountability and impact.

OVERVIEW OF TALKAM APP CASE MANAGEMENT:
The TALKAM Human Rights App(www.talkam.app) serves as a global civic tech tool committed to promoting and safeguarding human rights in Africa and beyond. This APP allows citizens worldwide to report instances of specific human rights abuses in various languages.
The App provides a free digital case management platform that enables organizations to respond to human rights violations such as:
✅ Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
✅ Human Trafficking
✅ Child Abuse and Child Labour
✅ Domestic Violence
✅ Sexual Exploitation & Abuse
✅ Other human rights-related cases
Through TALKAM, cases reported by citizens are referred electronically to registered partner organizations for response, while ensuring confidentiality and accountability..

Eligibility
We welcome applications from registered organizations across West Africa that provide direct response services in areas such as:
- Legal Aid and Justice Services
- Shelter and Safe Housing
- Psychosocial and Mental Health Support
- Medical/Health Services
- Case Management & Referrals
- Advocacy and Community Engagement
Organizations must be willing to designate at least one dedicated Case Manager to respond to referrals via the TALKAM App.
