Privacy Notice for Participants in DEVATOP Activities
DEVATOP Centre for Africa Development (“DEVATOP”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and other applicable data protection laws.
This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you participate in our trainings, workshops, conferences, stakeholder meetings, campaigns, webinars, consultations, and other virtual or in-person activities.

Depending on the activity, we may collect:

If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please notify a member of the DEVATOP team in writing before or during the event. While we will make reasonable efforts to respect your preference, it may not always be possible to avoid capturing individuals in group photographs or recordings that participate in an event.

DEVATOP processes your personal data based on one or more of the following lawful grounds under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023:

- Performance of activities connected with your participation;

- DEVATOP’s legitimate interests in implementing, documenting, and communicating its programmes, provided such interests do not override your rights and freedoms.
