DEVATOP Conducts Mentorship Clinics for Child Domestic Workers in Okoko and Adosoba Communities

DEVATOP Centre for Africa Development has conducted one-day mentorship clinics for Child Domestic Workers (CDWs) in Okoko and Adosoba communities of Lagos State.

The clinics focused on promoting self-discovery, self-confidence, and mental strength. They provided a structured and supportive environment for participants to enhance self-awareness, understand their self-worth, and develop practical strategies for emotional regulation and stress management.

During the sessions, the Child Domestic Workers actively participated in guided discussions and structured activities, including the “Strengths Tree,” affirmation exercises, and peer-sharing sessions. These activities encouraged reflection, self-expression, and peer support among the participants.

Each session ended with participants identifying personal affirmations for daily practice and completing feedback forms.

The clinics contributed to strengthening the participants’ confidence, emotional resilience, and personal development, in line with DEVATOP’s psychosocial support and child empowerment objectives under the Freedom Fund project.
